Family literacy activities with the parents and children include dancing, singing, and storytelling, which support first language literacy and cultural pride.
Through ESL and Parenting classes, and interactive activities, parents gain increased knowledge and skills on parenting children in the Canadian context and develop their language and literacy skills.
Children ages 18 months to 5 years of age participate in programming in the Children’s Centre which provides diverse opportunities for children to develop language, literacy and social interactions so they are better able to achieve success at home, at school and in the community.
