HELP US, HELP THEM
Since 1981, EMCN has been supporting all newcomers to Edmonton and helping them thrive in Canada. We are committed to serving all newcomers, including refugees, those migrating across Canada, international professionals relocating here for work, and others. We take time to understand their unique needs, offering and guiding them through the resources and networks they need to be successful, today, and for generations to come.
EMCN offers newcomers welcoming spaces to learn and connect with people, services, and resources they need to integrate and prosper in the community. We have a willingness to confront challenges and provide leadership on critical community concerns; EMCN addresses our clients' needs to create a positive impact on our community.
During this crisis, we have created the Covid-19 Emergency Fund that goes to Edmonton newcomers in need of:
- Financial help to cope with food insecurity, rent payment, utilities, etc.
- Technology tools to support social connection and learning (e.g. laptops, computer software, access to the internet).
- Any other unexpected needs that arise from this forced isolation.
