Constructing Futures is a 6-month full-time training program that will help open up employment opportunities to you in the project management field.
This program is free and you may qualify for funding while studying.

- Increasing your awareness of the labour market
- Conducting a successful job search

- Learning about project management in Alberta
- Completing an online course through PMI-recognized Registered Education Provider
- Gain hands-on experience in the project management field
How the program works
This program is delivered twice a year beginning in May and November to 20 eligible applicants.
- 16 weeks full-time classes with the Edmonton Mennonite Centre for Newcomers
- 35-hour online course providing PMI-recognized project management training
- 10 weeks full-time unpaid work experience in the project management field where they will apply the skills learned in the classroom
- 3 months supported job search

You can apply to this program if you are
- A graduate of a diploma or degree program from an international institution with experience working on projects
- Unemployed or marginally employed (80% of participants must be currently on E.I. or E.I. recipients in the past 5 years)
- A resident of Alberta; Permanent Resident, new Canadian Citizen, Refugee with positive Notice of Decision Letter; resident of Alberta
- Language proficiency of Canadian Language Benchmark 6 or higher in all skill areas: reading, writing, speaking and listening
- High motivation and commitment to completing the program
