Newcomer Centre’s new EmpowerHER program supports immigrant women as they unlock their goals and succeed in their businesses and careers.

This program provides immigrant women with the tools and resources needed to achieve financial independence and make an impact in their communities. Through our comprehensive training, coaching and mentorship, we help women achieve their business and career goals in a supportive community.

how the program works

  • Online and in-person sessions, workshops and events that occur weekly and monthly from Jan. 15 – Sept. 30, 2024

who can access the program

Immigrant women that want to learn employment skills, who are interested in starting their own business or who already have a business and are looking to grow it, and have a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 4 or higher, and who are:

  • Canadian Citizens
  • Permanent Residents of Canada
  • Refugees with Positive Notice of Decision Letter

Our program welcomes all women who identify as immigrants. If you’re passionate about working towards your business or employment goals,
then please contact us, even if you feel like you don’t currently qualify.

NOTE – on-site childcare available, but you must be registered in the program to access and spaces are limited.
